Who We Are
The DG Sentinel is majority-minority, queer, and female led, and has staff from around the globe. We come from many different races, genders, sexualities, and backgrounds.
We are led by CEO Isvari Maranwe, a former cybersecurity attorney and ex-physicist, who co-founded the international nonprofit Dweebs Global. She has a lifelong passion for diverse and authentic media and has been a columnist and author since she was 15 years old.
Our Board includes best-selling authors, famous influencers, media giants, award-winning directors, and more.
How we are going to change the world
- We are independent and apolitical, uplifting marginalized voices.
- We define success as doing good in the world, not fame or money.
- We are queer, minority, and female-led
- We are accessible.
- We will not sell your data.
- We provide a safe social community for diverse voices.
WE WANT TO HEAR YOUR VOICE.
We are looking for submissions in Mental Health, Humanity (Politics, but not political–tell us stories about the world you’ve lived in and events you’ve lived through), Career & Business, Science & Health (especially sharing research you’ve worked on as a scientist or postdoc), Education, Lifestyle & Relationships, and Fiction.
We focus on global and international articles sharing stories usually not covered in Western media. We are always looking for a personal angle and voice. Why are you the one to write the story? Are you quirky, snarky, passionate, or profound? We should get to know YOU from your piece. We don’t publish traditional journalism or if you’re covering someone else EXCEPT for features. We DO publish poetry and fiction.
